Mark Philhower

Mark Philhower manages the IT Transformation Practice, with focus on the strategic and operational management of Information Technology.
An experienced senior-level management consultant and IT executive, Mark specializes in the areas of IT Strategy, IT Planning, Business Alignment, Project Portfolio Management, Project Management, and IT management processes.
He brings over twenty five years of industry expertise, with extensive international experience working with a broad array of clients in the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia.

In prior roles, Mark was the Director of IT Strategy and Planning at The Home Depot, where his responsibilities included the development of the long range IT Plan, IT Portfolio Management, and the Program Management Office. Previously, as a Vice President of the Project Management Practice at CIGNA Healthcare, he managed the implementation of an enterprise-wide change initiative for improving project execution. He was also responsible for the enterprise Quality Management function, implementing and managing the performance measurement and improvement programs across the enterprise.

Earlier in his career, Mark was a Senior Manager in Andersen’s (Accenture) Strategy practice (I&TS) with industry concentration in Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Retail. Mark also spent a significant amount of his career in the IBM Consulting Group, with his last role as a Global Competency Leader in their IT Strategy and Planning practice. His responsibilities included research and development of leading standards, methods, and analytics for IBM’s worldwide consulting organization. Earlier in his career, Mark was also on the Analytical Services staff of McKinsey & Co., where he provided analytical support to their Banking, Manufacturing, and Financial Services practices.

Mark received a BA degree in Public Administration from Fordham University, and an MBA in Finance, with a certification in Strategic Healthcare Management from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
